An asteroid to strike the earth in near future?

There is supposed to be a comet impact in May 2006 and the day varies depending on the source I encounter. This is being reported in several different places so I have to take the rumours with a bit of seriousness.

It is but one month away and closing fast.

Well the impact didn't happen as we all know but we have had several small asteroid hits recently... I'm thinking of the Norway hit within the past week. The biggest they had there in recorded history. Seems the shower is on its way and we are seeing the pebbles before the rocks.

There are many things that have occurred on Earth long before we arrived. Many civilizations just showed up out of nowhere with the written word, government, and civilized societies. Sumeria, Egypt, Mesopotamian regions. All of them with great knowledge of the measures of the Earth, moon, and workings of the stars...even to the point of referencing planets us "modern civilized beings just recently discovered", or dwarved.
The only beings that had this knowledge other than Our Creator, were the angels. See Book of Enoch[I]. The Fallen Angels taught this knowledge to mankind. Another version for the Tree of Knowledge, Tree of Good and Evil. These Fallen fathered children by human women producing the giants that destroyed and ravaged the Earth. See Genesis.
The giants eventually destroyed the food supply to the point of resorting to eating humans. God, abhorred by the destruction caused sent a messenger to warn the fallen and their sons of their soon to come demise.
This brings about the flood.
Remember, Genesis speaks of the generations of the Heavens and Earth, just as the generations of Adam. Perhaps with a little help from an asteroid impact. God works in strange and mysterious ways, as well as natural (MOST OF THE TIME) Perhaps he was able to do all of creation in just 7 24 hour days because (no blasphemy intended) we have given Him plenty of practice.
For all I know, we have played out this scenario multiple times and so far havent gotten it right yet. By the looks of it, I think its far too late to fix the damage we have done in this go around.
Ironic, that Earth and the waters was all there was before God came down and gave it form, and all that will be left.The giants were purged through water, global impact will most likely purge us with water. Water is our birth, our spiritual, physical as well as internal cleansing, and atleast 2x our death.
As arrogant as we are being Giants and egomaniacal gods in our own minds, It is time for God to once again rid the world of the giants that have corrupted and destroyed the paradise He has made that they...or we... have treated like disposable furniture.
I have a great idea.....lets go out into space and find another planet to live on ...what do you think????. Oh FORGET IT we'll just destroy that one too.
If I broke something of mine as a kid, it was never replaced, I had to do without. My parents taught me that if its important and you need it you had better take good care of it. Pretty simple huh?
I am not egging on the destruction of our world, I do not look forward to it, but the corruption and ignorance of the world leaders, with ours being THE WORST, leaves one with little hope for a bottom of the 9th comeback.

Maybe just maybe our glorious heads of state and international leaders will find a place to go and take all of their WMDs pollution and destructive technology to another planet to colonize to avoid the Earth Killing Asteroid Impending our Doom, and with them gone...... By the Grace of God the asteroid will wipe out our "fallen angelic leaders" and we can be Adam's and Eve's in our paradise respecting the wonderful gifts we have been given.
Miracles happen, and that although fantasy....would be a great end and a perfect beginning.
